Jaxson has always caught my eyes with his beautiful soft, medium-length coat that feels like silk to the touch. That striking "mask" around his face gives him such a distinctive, almost regal appearance, conveying a sense of gentle nobility.
But, he has a wonderfully sweet temperament to match his good looks. He will however, have to find his perfect soulmate who understands him. You see, along with his gentle demeanor he is very shy in the beginning. But with a patient hand, he will make a remarkable best friend. How can you resist waking up to this beautiful face every morning?
Besides, the fact that he's so well-behaved, getting along great with other dogs (we call him a dog-dog - he loves big AND small dogs!) and being house-trained, only adds to his appeal.
There's just something special about a dog who radiates an aura of tranquility and kindness, isn't there?
You can tell this is a dog with a heart of gold, one who would bring immense joy and comfort to any household lucky enough to have him. Any dog lover would be smitten by this handsome, well-mannered companion.

More about this shelter
The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows. Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 8 play yards. We have 30 indoor cat kennels. We also have a 3 room cattery, that enables cats to live together in colony type environments until they find their forever home. If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love we and our volunteers can provide and their eternal gratitude when they find their forever home at last.
