Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Begonia, the spirited pup with a tale as adventurous as her spirit! This lively lady found herself in the loving care of the Humane Society of Greater Dayton after a serendipitous encounter with the UPS driver. Picture this: Begonia, the free-spirited explorer, leaping onto the truck with glee! Now that's what we call seizing the moment!
With her wagging tail and infectious energy, she'll make every adventure feel like a grand expedition! And let's talk about her love for the gentlemen-Begonia has a soft spot for the guys, melting hearts wherever she goes.
Begonia is working on her training skills, her intelligence and love for treats make her a star pupil in the making. She is attending classes with our START program at Dayton Dog Training and is picking up on new skills every week!
If you're ready to add a dash of excitement and a whole lot of love to your life, Begonia is waiting to meet you! Whether you're filling out an adoption application on our website or stopping by the shelter for a face-to-face encounter, get ready for a bundle of joy that's bound to steal your heart!

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is proud to be a no-kill animal welfare agency. We are committed to finding great homes for great pets! As a 501(c)(3) nonproft, we receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from individuals, companies and grants to fund our programs and services. We are not affiliated with any other animal agency on a local, state or national level. Since 1902, our organization has been devoted to being a voice for the voiceless. Although we proudly find more than 2,000 animals forever homes every year, we are far more than an adoption center. We currently have a wide array of programs to support animals in our community. Through our high-volume spay and neuter clinic, we are able to help pet owners as well as battle cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return. Our humane society agents also work tirelessly to protect pets from cruel and neglectful circumstances through our Cruelty & Neglect Investigations Department. Through our Veterinary Hospital, we can provide top-quality access to veterinary care at a low cost to pet owners. In addition to our many programs, our organization is unique because we are the only agency in the community able to handle all types of animals. This includes cats and dogs but also rabbits, birds, farm animals, pocket pets and exotics. Our organization is committed to providing our community, our state and our region with support and care.
