Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Urgent foster or foster to adopt placement needed for this adorable little wire haired Jack Russell terrier puppy in the Fort Lauderdale area
He was surrendered to a local shelter per a euthanasia request for "behavioral concerns" by his former "family". Can you imagine wanting to euthanize a tiny, two month old puppy for typical puppy behaviors that can be trained out of them with time, persistence, and patience?
Regarding his "behavioral concerns", he barks and growls at people he is unfamiliar with, but adores his temporary foster and is the sweetest cuddle bug with her. We are not aware of him biting or harming anyone, as that was not reported when he was surrendered.
We believe he is between 2-3 months old and is a playful, energetic pup. He was surrendered with another puppy, so he's been around other dogs and would likely do well in a foster home with an older, larger dog to show him the ropes. His temporary foster has cats. He is doing well with them. He wants to play with them, but not in an aggressive manner. He is not crate or potty trained, but his temporary foster reports that he did start to use the puppy pads after spending a few hours with her.
He was recently microchipped, received his first set of vaccines, (DHPP and Bordetella), dewormer, flea, tick and heartworm prevention
All vet care, food and supplies will be provided by us.
