Meet Pearl – our four-year-old fun-loving, curtain-snuggling, toy-obsessed queen! She’s been waiting way too long for her perfect match, and honestly, we don’t know why. Pearl is the kind of dog who makes life better—whether she’s zooming around with her favorite rope toy, showing off her impressive Kong skills, or curling up with you for a well-earned nap (bonus points if you have a recliner).

We try to make the process as smooth as possible and we want to set you and your new pet up for success. We always recommend doing a meet and greet with your dog before adding a new dog to your home and we are always happy to help with that.

We are a municipal shelter that takes in 2500-3000 animals a year. We are a small shelter with a dedicated team that works hard to keep the citizens and animals of Clay County safe and healthy. We rely on foster families and adopters to help us continue the work that we do.
