Binx I don`t know how to explain my situation other than to say that some individuals need to be the #1 in the hearts of their families. I lived with my family all my life and I am 6-years-old now. We have moved three times in six years, adding two dogs and another cat to the mix. We cats had to share two litterboxes, which is highly irregular. I have lived with kids, but they are just too noisy and unpredictable for me. When I was surrendered to the HSHC, I was flabbergasted! I couldn`t believe that I was the one who had to leave. I regret that I was pretty grouchy when trying to settle into the two-room apartment I was given in the cattery. I put up a fight with the medical staff when they wanted to check me over. I was starting to get really down in the dumps until--Hooray! I was placed in a Roaming Room with lots of space, big windows, climbing platforms, and cat trees. Wow, being in a larger room was just what the doctor ordered. I share the room with two other cats who are a bit reluctant to interact with folks. Imagine that-- I am the social butterfly of the bunch! Now that I feel comfortable in my own skin, I am out and about, watching the people walk by, tipping my hat to the staff and volunteers, and looking forward to meeting my future family. By the way, I`d prefer to be your only 4-legged kid, but I`ll need loads of time to meet any you might have. I request that any children be respectful and older than eight years old. The interviewer lady thinks that I have the potential to make someone very happy. I`m also easy on the eyes! 5-9-24

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.
This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
