Betty is a beautiful 2-year old female Australian Cattle Dog/Red Heeler mix who was surrendered by her owner on April 20, 2024 because she was not good with other animals.
This young lady has a red/mahogany-and-white short smooth coat with red ticking, a naturally docked tail, and a cute symmetrically-marked face dark brown eyes, a black button nose on her slender muzzle, a nice 'smile', and short semi-erect ears.
Betty had been in her new family's home for only a few weeks. They had hoped to keep her, but she was aggressive toward their other animals.
Betty is not good with other dogs or cats, and she tends to be protective of her food. Betty is house trained.
Betty currently weighs 55 lbs. She has not yet been spayed.
Betty is looking for an experienced handler who will work with her to resolve the food protection behavior. She appears to be ok with her people friends.

More about this rescue
We are a non-profit shelter giving refuge to homeless and abandoned animals in Washington County Ohio. We strive to make their time here as comfortable as possible. We work very hard with our rescue groups to move our animals quickly and safely. We do this because we work for those who have no voice.
Rescue groups are encouraged to contact our Canine Rescue Coordinator (rescue@hsov.org) or Feline Rescue Coordinator (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net)
