My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, world! I'm Comet, the pint-sized powerhouse with a heart full of puppy love! At just 3 months old and 15 pounds of Cattle Dog/ mix magic, I'm the perfect blend of energy and enthusiasm. Yep, you guessed it – I'm a fun loving female who's ready to take on the world, one tail wag at a time.

I may be homeless right now, but that doesn't stop me from spreading joy wherever I go. Whether it's chasing my tail or discovering the wonders of the world one sniff at a time, I'm all about living life to the fullest.

I've heard tales of families with open arms and endless treats, and I'm ready to find mine! So, if you're in the market for a furry bundle of joy who's as happy as a pup in a dog park, look no further. Comet's here to light up your life with her infectious puppy energy!

FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping.

For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics.

To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.
