Dog's Name: Charly (CHA0424KUWMD)
Estimated Breed: Shepherd MIX
Approximate Age: 3-4 years
Approximate Weight: 55-60 lbs
Currently Living at: Boarding
Adoption Fee: $400
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hey there, I'm Charly. I've journeyed far from my original home in Kuwait, but my spirit remains unbroken. I went on a mini adventure a few weeks ago with a wonderful member of our staff, and had a great time! She took me swimming (I LOVE water), out for ice cream (of course I LOVE ice cream too, who wouldn't!!) and got to meet people. I was great on the car ride, loved all of the people that I met and wanted to greet and play with all of the dogs we saw along the way. As a GSD, I have a lot of energy and love to run and play, so I will need a home preferably with a fenced yard and an experienced dog owner. I am mostly housetrained and am leash trained, but need a bit more practice. I am also sleeping in my crate at night; I will bark a few times, then settle in. I am a very good boy and will make a great loyal friend for life. Please consider giving me your love and attention. I can't wait to meet you!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
