My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Another Amazing Dog Available For FOSTER or Adoption

This beautiful girl is Dixie. She is 2 years old & we just rescued from the EU list at an overcrowded shelter. She weighs 55 lb, she is UTD on vaccinations, HW- & she has been spayed & microchipped. She is house trained & does really well in her crate.

She is very loving, very easygoing, & not a high-strung dog at all. She is very affectionate to humans. She is mellow & timid with dogs. She tends to be nervous around high-energy dogs. She seems to get along better with calm dogs. She has no anxiety, no fear & she's very playful. She loves playing fetch! 🥎🐕 She loves going for walks & she's great on the leash. She is not a leash puller. She responds very well to her name. She is submissive & listens well. She is respectful to direction & seems to have had some level of knowledge of certain commands. It seems like she's had some training in her past. She also loves to explore & long walks are a treat for her.💞

Dixie has a great temperament. She is a little unsure around some dogs. She might not have been exposed to very many. She just needs more time to get used to things that are new to her.
I don't think that she has been around cats, but she doesn't seem to have much of a prey drive. So, that is still unknown. She also seems to have been mostly around adults & not around kids a lot. She probably just needs to be introduced slowly, & as long as people are calm, she responds well.

Dixie is an all-around great dog. She would do well with a retired couple, a single person, or a family with older kids. She's also a good protector & will use a low growl if she hears a strange noise outside. She is definitely one of those dogs who will give you unconditional love, trust & loyalty. You just need to go slow with her at first. Once she's comfortable & at ease, she will be a wonderful companion. Someone will be very lucky to get her!
