My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cute, Petite, Active

Dos has the cutest, tiniest ear tufts! Her brown-tan-gray tabby coat is unusual, and might be "agouti", which means that each tiny hair has bands of color that give her coat an overall look, rather than the typical tabby stripes. She is exquisite!

Sometimes Dos stomps around the house, which earned her the nickname Princess Prancy Paws!

Dos is super friendly with other cats and dogs! In her previous home, she lived with four cats, and was even cool with the senior cat who wasn't always nice to her. She just kind of curiously stared at him and then moved on!

She has lived with a cat-friendly, calm dog, and they were great together, even hanging out and chilling!

You might have noticed that Dos is wearing a cone in her photos! With no provocation, she will anxiously start over-grooming herself to the point of causing wounds, so her previous owners put her in a cone to keep her safe from herself. She is new to APA! and being evaluated for her nervous condition as well as her urinary health, so we hope to soon find a diagnosis and treatment that will help this girl live a relaxed life!

Sometimes, Dos will uneasily pace the house; then, she will lay down next to you, settle down, and nap. She doesn't like being picked up but enjoys neck scratches! If you lay on the floor with her, she will spend time lightly sniffing your face. She is a gentle girl with both calm and anxious moments.

Toys don't interest Dos, but she does like to climb, though sometimes the cone gets in the way! She loved her sister in her previous home, and would entertain herself by watching her sister play, so she might best thrive with a nice kitty friend to be her hang-out chum.

With her nervous condition, she is likely not the companion for little kids. She would do best with patient adults who can help her lead a structured and calm life.
