Here's what the humans have to say about me:
(Channeling Little Richard) Good Golly Miss Molly, you sure like the ball, Good Golly Miss Molly you always come when I call. Miss Molly is a beautiful, sweet, loving little girl. She gets along famously with her foster brothers and loves to play. She loves other dogs but nothing in her mind compares to the love of her humans. Housetrained and will use a puppy pad as well but I never guarantee potty habits in a new home so she may need a refresher on the schedule at a new home. Molly came into rescue as an only dog. She isn't a dominant personality and goes with the flow although she does like to steal toys when my boys (dachshunds) aren't looking to get them to chase her; silly girl she knows how to make the boys come running. When she came to rescue she was terrified beyond belief and it caused her to growl out of fear (the first day only)because she suddenly found herself ripped out of the only world she's ever known. Her world previously was very small and she didn't have many encounters with "strangers". The key to winning her heart is simple, patience (not focusing on her), taking her for walks, a special treat, and letting her sleep in bed with you. I won her over in less than 3 hours and now she doesn't want to leave my side. She doesn't have a preference of men versus women, she just loves all her people. She is a bit shy with strangers until she realizes they are ok and then she is fine the next time she encounters the same people. This little gal is just as sweet and loving as can be if you allow her time to warm up to you. She has the cutest little star of white on her forehead. She LOVES car rides and going new places. I don't know how she is with cats but I can say that she was on a leash and a neighbor's cat came by and she didn't care one way or another. Initial Assessment: Molly is a 3 year old red smooth dapple dachshund looking for her forever home. She has one blue eye and one brown eye, and weighs about 15 lbs. She does not do well around young children, so she is looking for either an adult only home, or one with dog savvy older children (10 years old or above). Her adoption fee is $250. Molly is in a foster home in Mechanicsburg, PA. For more information about her please email her foster Mom at rockdoxie@gmail.com.
