My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, my name is Rita! I've been through a lot, and sometimes I still feel a little unsure about the world around me, but I am such a sweet girl. I spent the majority of my life in an animal testing laboratory where I was subjected to painful experiments... did you know that animal testing involves experimentation on dogs and cats, too? Since being rescued by Beagle Freedom Project, I am learning to trust the kind people that would never hurt me. Despite my past mistreatment, I crave affection and throw my paws in the air when I want attention! It's my special way of saying "Hey, don't forget about me!" I hope that a loving, forever home welcomes me in soon... I am such a special and deserving girl! I promise to be the most loving and loyal companion for my adopter-- could that be you?

I would prefer a home that has: no other dogs, adults-only, lots of love!

My location: NEWPORT, NC

*Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed directly above!*
