Please note that because all our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be about within an hour of Wilmington, DE for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in-person home visit.

Meet Aubrei! Aubrei is a 13-year-old, 21 lb. Shitzu Terrier mix who came to us an an owner surrender. She was underweight and in need of a dental and a new beginning.

Aubrei can happily fit into any home. She is currently putting on weight and has received her dental. The vet detected a very small heart murmur; but has no concerns about it, and says it’s fairly common. Aubrei has good vision and hearing, is fully potty trained, and doesn’t require any medication. She gets along great with kids, dogs, cats and even small animals. Aubrei is crate trained, walks well on a leash, and has no trouble with stairs.

Aubrei is as close to perfect as a dog can be. She enjoys playing a slow game of fetch, going on walks, car rides, and rolling in the grass. Aubrei even snuck into the guinea pig’s cage one day in her foster home and just laid down to watch them.

This sweet girl isn’t needy for attention, but loves to get pets. She is good with being picked up and cuddled and loves being a couch potato. If you need an amazing dog in your life, please don’t wait. Apply today!
