Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Callie! I am currently in a foster home with seven other hounds and I'm really loving it! I'm active and friendly, but I'm not the kind of girl that shares her place with a cat. I lived with children in my foster home in Kansas and they said I did very well with them and have done well with the children that visit here. I do need a little work on walking with a leash because I pull, but I do learn quickly.
I could tell my new fosters were cautious about introducing me to their pack, because they only brought me one at a time. It only took an hour and I'd met all seven (they're all hounds too!). We're totally cool now. I do get fed in a kennel because I eat really fast and will try and eat other pets' food and don't like them around my food. I am doing pretty good on my potty training and will continue to work on that. My new fosters seem to disapprove when I look up on the counter or table, and I notice none of the other hounds do that, so I guess that's off-limits. I'm working on remembering that and doing very well. Must be a Nebraska thing.
My absolute favorite things are: Running around and sniffing in the yard with the other dogs
Things I don't like: Cats
My new home must have: A fenced yard to run in
If I could pick my dream home, it would include: Fenced yard and another dog (or several!) to play with
Anyway, I think I like it here, and I can't wait to see who my forever-peeps are going to be. Will it be you? Come meet me and let's see!
