My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WANDERING YOUNGSTER
Meet Belle, a gray and white kitten found wandering in Laguna Woods Village. A resident found her in a carport, scared and hungry, and was able to befriend her. Now we're helping her find her forever home. See Belle in her short video.

Belle just turned 1 year old. Her birthday wish was for her new best friend to find her and bring her home. She's been vet-checked, has been spayed, and is current on her shots. She's ready!

She's a sweet cat who had a rough start but now loves the inside life. Belle loves wand toys, chasing and playing, pets and brushing, and is growing into such a lovely cat girl.

Belle's foster has a dog who became Belle's buddy. This playful kitty has plenty of love to give and will make a wonderful feline friend.

If you would like to meet Belle, call/text Lonnie Painter at 949-533-7947.

Go meet their pets

We have a holiday boutiques to raise funds for our pets. We also have posters with our kitties displayed around our community and we have both our www.lagunawoodscatclub.com site as well as our adoptapet and petfinder sites with photos, descriptions and contact info.

More about this rescue

Our organization was started because our local animal shelter does not have space for abandoned and/or lost pets. Laguna Woods is a retirement community and our residents often end up going to assisted living or passing away, and kitties are left homeless. There was a real need for someone to step up and fill this need, so we established a network of foster homes and a website and a petfinder site to advertise our kitties needing homes. We provide an initial vet exam immediately and pay for services including medical care, shots, spay and neuter, etc.
