Gunny is a 10 year old 14 pound boy.
Gunny came to us from the Keys after his dad passed away and he ended up in the shelter there and the shelter reached out to President Pam to see if we could help. Of course she said yes.
Gunny has been with us for a while and we have been getting him all the care he needs. We are so hopeful that we can find Gunny a forever home.
Here’s the good and not perfect about this sweet boy.
GUNNY PROS:
â
Gunny is completely housebroken.
â
He is good with other dogs most of the time. (we will explain when he’s not below).
â
He is good with all people, big and small.
â
He has his very own custom made cart for long walks.
â
He would do great as an only dog.
â
He’s a world class snuggler.
â
He likes to give kisses.
â
He will chase lizards and squirrels from your yard.
â
He’s incredibly handsome.
â
He has really good, healthy teeth.
â
He walks about 90% of the time now.
GUNNY CONS:
He gets hangry… around meal times he’s a tad cranky to other dogs and needs to be managed.
He will defend his food from other dogs in a way that could involve teeth.
He has a heart murmur, he does not have any clinical signs and does not need medication. He did well under anesthesia for an MRI and a dental.
He came to us with old back issues. He does walk most of the time, but sometimes he gets a bit lazy and/or tired and will drag his hind end for a bit before he pops back up. (He did have an MRI with a neurologist and it was decided that because what they saw was old, surgery was not an option).
He is not good with cats.
As you can see, the good outweighs the not so good â¤ï¸â¤ï¸.
We know that somewhere out there is the perfect home for this incredibly special boy.
