My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: Lexington, SC
Name: Neptune
Age: 1 year (DOB: 4/15/23)
Breed: Coonhound/German Shepherd / Mix (mom was DNA tested) - 60 lbs
M/F: M
Spayed/Neutered/Shots: UTD on rabies & dhpp; on heartworm prevention; neutered
Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: good with other dogs and kids; have not cat tested but can upon request (should do fine, shy and submissive of new things)
Aggression or medical issues?: major flea allergy - has to be kept on prevention during warm months
Reason for rehoming?: mom was rescued very pregnant so he was born here - adopted and returned due to no fault of his own (apartment management changed and he didn’t meet breed requirements)
House/crate trained?: yes
Additional info/story (personality):
Very sweet and very submissive. Pulls quite hard on a leash when scared or with a new human until he adjusts. Is a big baby and has no problem being held. Big personality, long, and lanky. Definitely a cuddle bug. Was raised in an apartment so was raised to not be very talkative even with his breed mix.
Message/comment if interested. Make sure if you message me to include the animal’s name since I have a lot of rescues I am trying to help rehome at the moment. Adoption application & contract required to ensure good home.

Go meet their pets

We are foster based only at this time.
Meet and greets for dogs must be scheduled in advance.
Meet and greets for cats are near impossible normally because we all foster/house both cats and dogs and the dogs "go off" when visitors come over making all the cats hide.

More about this rescue

In service of domestic animals in South Carolina, Frisky Business Rescue is a no-kill rescue that provides vital resources such as veterinary care, birthing assistance, medication, and rehoming or safe release (TNR) to the most vulnerable animals in the region. We specialize in animals with special circumstances that come from various backgrounds, including animal hoarding and abusive situations but primarily focus on vulnerable kittens, puppies, and pregnant/nursing dogs and cats. Before rehoming, we carefully screen new potential families to ensure the needs of our animals are met and that new homes will become furever homes.
