Adoption Fee: Adoption Fee Has Been Sponsored
Gunner is a 10 month old male pup who happens to be blind. He adapts quickly to new environments and it doesn’t stop him from being a typical happy, healthy puppy.
Gunner is currently being fostered in a home with three other shepherds (11, 3 and 2). He has mastered the doggy door and loves being outside. He loves to roughhouse with the 2 year-old female in the home every chance he gets.
Gunner is housebroken and sleeps quietly through the night on a dog bed in the kitchen. He is learning basic commands and does really well on a leash for a puppy. That being said, he is a typical puppy and likes to chew on everything so chew toys are a must. It doesn’t take long after you meet Gunner to fall in love with him.
Gunner becomes uncertain when away from the house, making it difficult to introduce him to new dogs at times. New intros are best with other calm dogs. He can also do just fine as an only dog.
May be okay with dog savvy Cats. Small critters unknown.

Additional Adoption Information
For more information and to see when this dog will be attending an Adoption Day, please see our Dogs page on our main website. (https://www.gcgsr.org/adopt_info.html) We operate within a reasonable driving distance from the Greater Sacramento area, the Central Valley down to Merced, and Lake Tahoe. A reasonable driving distance is determined by where one of our volunteers is willing to drive within our areas of service. That means we don't adopt out of our area, to Southern California, or out of state.
Puppy Requirements
We have special Requirements for Adopting a Puppy and a separate Puppy Questionnaire that must be completed on puppies. Please see our Requirements for Adopting a Puppy (https://www.gcgsr.org/puppies.html) email us at info@gcgsr.org for more information.
