Ahoy there! My name is JACK (like Jack Sparrow, hehe, 'cuz down here in Mexico they call me Pirate) and here is some info about me:
PHYSICAL INFO:
RESCUE STORY - I was found tied up to a lamp post next to the local dog shelter here in Mexico City two years ago. I was in relatively good condition and had pretty good manners, so my rescuers think that maybe I had an owner in the past. Luckily, the owner of the dog shelter welcomed me in and has given me a safe place to live ever since. I know I'm so lucky to have been rescued, but I have been living in the shelter for two years now and I am SO ready to find a real home!
TEMPERAMENT - I am a friendly boy who gets along with allll the humans. I LOVE getting attention and cuddles and I am just such a good boy. I often meet children and we get along just fine (although I'm a big dogg-o, so small kids might be at risk for getting knocked over unintentionally!). I am playful with other dogs and truly don't have an aggressive bone in my (big) body. I sometimes bark and may get jealous if another dog gets attention near me, but it's just because I'm so eager for love and affection. I love to go for walks and boy do I ever love playing at the dog park! I am a receptive boy who understands when I have done something wrong. I obey commands and am so eager to please; I'm also one of the favourites of the volunteers here at the shelter hehe (don't tell the others!). I do have some leash reactivity towards other dogs-- I will sometimes bark at other dogs as we walk past. I think I can work through this behaviour with a patient adopter dedicated to working on my leash manners :) Truly, all I want is to have a human to love and who loves me in return! Oh ya... I also love tortillas, apples, and carrots.
ENERGY LEVEL - Medium - I play hard but I crash hard too. Once I've had sufficient daily exercise, I am a pretty chill guy who is eager for affection and love. I am made for adventuring and I'm sure I would LOVE an active family who takes me on lots of walkies and hikes.
GETS ALONG WITH:
PREY DRIVE - I am fine with small dogs however I haven't been tested with cats. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.
TRAINING:
Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.

The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.
WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.
