Cats I live with six at my foster home I try to play with them sometimes I`m nosey and get swatted when I try to lick them
Kids : I`m large but I`m gentle so kids should ok I have met a few kids with my foster home and did good
My name is Luna I`m 12 but don`t let that fool you I have lots of love and energy left .I love my foster home they are pretty active and I love it cause we go on lots of walks I love to run my recall is very good I know the basic commands like sit and lay down and come or Luna too far. I do like to keep busy so a active family with room for me too run on a farm or some one that will play fetch with me I love balls and Frisbees and all toys and treats I would love a home where I get to crawl up with you on couch with my family I walk good on leash I`m crate trained I like going on car rides and to the dog park where I can run

Additional adoption info

All adoptions begin with an adoption application, available here or on our website (or from one of our wonderful volunteers in person). The application is reviewed by the adoptable animal's foster home as well as by the appropriate coordinator (canine/feline) to assess how the animal will fit in your home. We endeavour to respond to all applications within 72 hours, but being 100% run by volunteers sometimes we need additional time--if you haven't heard back after 72 hours, feel free to contact us to check in on your application.

Canine Adoption Fees:
$450 for puppies under 1 year of age
$375 for dogs over 1 year & under 7 years
$300 for dogs 7 years and older

Feline Adoption Fees:
$250 for kittens and cats up to 12 months old
$200 for cats between 1-6 years old
$150 for cats 6 years old and older

Adoption fees help offset the cost to our organization of providing full medical care (including spay or neuter surgery) to each animal we adopt to a furever home.

The Barrhead Animal Rescue Society (B.A.R.S.) was established in January 2010, and is dedicated to ensuring the humane treatment of all animals in the Town of Barrhead, the County of Barrhead and surrounding areas.

We provide a safe and nurturing environment for unwanted, abandoned, lost, and mistreated pets until they can be placed into loving homes. Through proactive intervention, public education, fundraising events, and community outreach, the Barrhead Animal Rescue Society seeks to promote respect for all life by breaking the cycle of abuse, neglect, and pet overpopulation in our communities.
