We are trying to find a new home for TJ, a charming 10-year-old Chihuahua mix. We adopted him several months ago and he loves cuddles and has a quiet demeanor. He loves lounging in his favorite spot on the couch next to his person, and he's incredibly food motivated and will happily work hard for treats.
While TJ is a sweetheart indoors, he struggles with leash reactivity when encountering other dogs outside. He also has a patella issue which slows him down in addition to his age. All of this makes walking him with our other dog a bit challenging, but he would do great in a calmer and slower-paced lifestyle.
Additionally, TJ can be a little too excited around food and treats, and needs to be fed separately from our other dog, but he has a very cute way of begging for food that'll melt your heart.
TJ would thrive in an experienced home where he can be the center of attention, without the stress of competing with other pets.
