My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, I'm LuLu, formerly known as Lou, the seasoned and sweet Pit ready to bring some sunshine into your life! At 10 years young, I may be a bit older, but trust me, I've still got plenty of pep in my step and a whole lot of love to give. You should see me get excited when my foster people get the leash out. I wiggle all over.

Sure, I may not know all the fancy tricks, but who needs tricks when you've got my winning personality? I do know the basics and am working on following hand signals. I may have medium energy levels, but I'm a breeze to walk and always enjoy a leisurely stroll, especially if it involves plenty of sniffing along the way. Yep, I'm a bit of a professional sniffer - I just can't resist exploring all the fascinating scents the world has to offer!

Oh, and did I mention what a good girl I am? Yep, it's true! I'm easygoing, affectionate, and oh-so-sweet. Plus, I get along just fine with humans of all shapes and sizes. Whether we're cuddling on the couch or taking a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood, I'll be by your side every step of the way.

I love living in my foster home. It is so much better than a kennel. I am a bed hog, but I know my humans really love my cuddles and snores. I like being a comfort to them. I give gentle kisses to let them know I care. Living in a foster home after several months in the shelter means the folks at VHS get great info about me. I even got to spend a weekend with my foster dad's aunt and got to know her 2 dogs. All three of us canines got along great. Mostly we just laid around and co-habitated. Set up a date to meet me, and the humans will go on and on telling you about me.

With me as your loyal companion, you'll never feel lonely again. So, if you're looking for a mature and mellow friend to share your days with, look no further than me, LuLu! Let's embark on this next chapter of life together - I can't wait to meet you!
