Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hey there! My name is Ian, and I’m just a young pup around 9 months old. I’m already 58.6lbs and growing! I’m super loving and incredibly smart. In fact, I’ve already been learning to sit! Walking outside on a leash isn’t really my thing yet, but I’m learning to trust that going outside is okay and safe. Please call to schedule an appointment to meet me! I would love to meet you and become best friends!

The Allegany County Animal Shelter serves as the municipal shelter for Allegany County and is located at 716 Furnace Street in Cumberland. For many years, the shelter served as the final destination for nearly 85% of the animals that entered it. In late 2010, a group of passionate citizens led the charge to change the nature of the shelter with a goal of doing as much as possible for every animal, every day. It was the first step on the journey to becoming A Shelter of Hope.
