Buzz Lightyear came to us in March with A LOT of other friends. At one time, he was very shy and nervous and found it hard to approach anyone. He would hide in his kennel and avoid human contact. Now months later, he has been adjusting better to his situation and has come out of his shell so much! It's a beautiful thing to see such a transformation!
Now, Buzz Lightyear loves to get attention! He will rub against your hands and roll over for a quick belly rub before jumping back up and pushing under your hand again. He will purr very gently as he gets pet. He loves treats and will take them gently out of your hand. He is a very relaxed cat! He doesn't seem to mind most cats here at the shelter as well.
He still has slight shyness to new faces but once he warms up, he loves all the attention. We are still working on picking him up. He doesn't mind it as much as he used to. At one time, it was a difficult task to pick him up. Now, he might let you hang onto him for a couple seconds before gently jumping off of you to either his kennel or the floor. Buzz Lightyear just needs a human he can build a bond with and learn to trust. Once he is comfortable with someone, they'll have a furry friend for life!
