Vada needs a home as the only pet. She came from a fighting ring where she was used as a bait dog.She is very fearful of other dogs and paces her floors not knowing what is coming next. She needs to be with someone who can help this girl relax and know what a loving home is all about. It will take a lot of patience to help her come out of her shell. She is a small girl and still needs to be spayed but we have to get her more relaxed before we can take her in for surgery. If you can foster or adopt contact us and come meet Vada.

Their adoption process

1.
Interview

Email information about the pet you are interested in, Your family and environment. A FENCED IN YARD is PREFERRED and a House Visit.

2.
Approve Application

After initial email we contact you for additional information No farther than 60 mile radius from shelter in Land o Lakes FL.

3.
Meet the Pet

The whole family including any other canines come to meet the pet and see how receptive the dog is to the family.

4.
Home Check

Video calls are acceptable as a walk around your house and yard. House visits are a must if you don't have a fenced in yard

5.
Take the Pet Home

Pet will be UTD on all shots and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. All medical treatment paperwork is provided. Contract to be signed.

Additional adoption info

We require a house visit in town with pet to see how they act in the home environment. We screen our applicants first to make sure they are at least 21 years of age, have a stable home and a fenced in yard or how they will exercise the dog.

I am the web coordinator for Carter's Canine Condo's and Rescue. I help the owner find homes for the rescued dogs he has on the property.
Buddy has been owner of the boarding facility since 2000. Began a rescue in 2008. He lives on the premises.
