Meet Rip! He is an 3 year old Aussie Doodle and weighs 60 lbs. He is neutered, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Rip is nervous around strangers. He is good with kids, cats, and dogs! Rip has nipped at strangers while on a leash or if they came to the door. He doesn’t like leashes or crates (except for his own). The owner is surrendering him because they moved to a neighborhood where kids run in and out of their house without knocking. They don’t want Rip to accidentally mistake one of them for an intruder. They have worked with trainers, but he hasn’t improved. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible!
If you think you can provide a great home for Rip, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Rip.

More about this rescue
Nancy Gonzalez, founder and CEO, created Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF), a non-profit organization to promote the educated adoption and rescue of the Australian Shepherd (Aussie) dog breed.
In July of 2012, ASF initiated as a Facebook page hoping to have 1,000 user "likes" by the end one year. The page quickly outgrew expectations, now with a network of nearly 82,000 individuals striving to provide aid and refuge to Aussies all over the country.
Using the Facebook page as a platform, the website www.australianshepherdsfurever.org was developed as an additional resource aimed at educating the public on this intelligent and beautiful breed. It provides resources for those seeking help, or those willing to contribute to the Adopt, Save, Foster (ASF) philosophy. Through this philosophy, ASF has saved the lives of countless dogs and helped to provide assistance to those that have nowhere else to turn.
We as humans have a responsibility to speak up and take action in favor of those beings that are less fortunate. Thanks to a team of passionate and proactive volunteers, Aussies nationwide are given a chance at a better life through Australian Shepherds Furever.
