Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Excellent with the kids! Just learned the doggy door. He is very muscular. Buster just had soft palate surgery resuscitation April 2024 (a $7,000 surgery). On 4/23/24 he was neutered and microchipped. He is vaccinated. Very sweet dog. Knows “sit” command and knows his name! He loves to be pet and sit up on the couch with you for some love. He is living with a cat and they are ignoring each other. His only behavior “flaw” we have found so far is that when he’s in a vehicle and sees someone he will bark and wag his tiny tail nub to try and greet them. He had a prior ear infection and the vet deep cleaned it under anesthesia during his BOAS soft palate surgery. He was given preventative ear drops which resolved his ear trouble (using Otomax). Had prior puss filled pimples (resolved with Convenia antibiotic injection). He doesn’t pee in the house / is totally house trained. We take him out on leash for potty time and he goes for us. He has free rein of his foster home. When his foster was working a long shift, he has used an indoor potty pad.
PLEASE NO CALLS OR TEXTS AS WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS, COMPLETE AN APPLICATION IF INTERESTED: saveabowwow.com/rescue/adoption-form If listed, dog is available. Once dog is pending adoption, this page will reflect that information.
A cut and paste from Busters foster:
Buster’s foster family here! He’s such a good dog. He patiently waits for us to come out of our bedroom in the morning. He doesn’t beg for food when we are in the kitchen or dining table. He loves walks. Very trainable. He’ll sit, stay, come before every meal and treat. He’s a good cuddler…just heavy. Oh and potty trained. No accidents since we’ve had him except for the time I accidentally blocked off the doggie door. 😆
Medical info: Rabies 3 year vaccine given on 9-5-22, DHLP-P vaccine given on 11-01-23, Bordetella given on 11-01-23.
Fine Print:
-All of our French bulldogs must be walked with a harness (never on a neck collar).
-The rescue requires adoptive family to obtain pet insurance for coverage of congenital and hereditary conditions. This is for any of the dogs in our rescue identified as a French Bulldog or a Frenchie Mix. Adoption will be finalized once the proof of pet insurance requirement is met. (There are some great policies ranging between $28-45 per month)
-We have an open door policy and are always here to discuss anything that may arise with your adoptive pet. After an adoption is conducted please do not hesitate to reach out.
-Please no texts or calls, apply if interested.
-This breed generally speaking cannot swim and will sink like bowling balls so we do not adopt out to any homes with unfenced pools.
Note: All breeds and ages are our veterinarians best educated guess (unless otherwise stated that our group has breeder paperwork)
