Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This helps Friends of the Animals with pet care costs.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sapphire!
This punky girl has got a whole lotta love to share. She's got the sweetest smile and really really likes to get her back scratched. If you've got a habit of talking to yourself too much it won't bother her one bit! Sapphire is deaf! She is looking for a special someone to take her home. Sapphire would do best with a fenced in yard and in a home with no young children as getting spooked awake can be kinda scary when she can't hear anyone coming. Sapphire loves to walk and play and she already knows how to sit and shake! She's a pretty smart gal!

More about this shelter
We are the only shelter in Cedar County, Iowa. We take in homeless dogs and cats and help them to find carefully screened, lifelong, and nurturing homes. FOA serves Cedar County, Iowa.
When you adopt, you’re not just giving a deserving dog or cat a home. You’re also reducing the demand for puppy mills and other industrial-scale breeding operations that put profits before animal welfare. Homeless, scared, abused, neglected or surrendered, whatever the circumstance may be, our goal is to give all animals the chance to feel loved, wanted and special. After all, their souls are pure, and they deserve only the best from us.
