What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Still Available!!! Pulled from the lake with a shattered front leg, Pancake was feral for her first 6 mo. She’s been with us since.
She is very smart: rings doorbell to go in/out, can sit, settle, spin, jump up, and stay on command; has AKCS CGC.
Not an alpha. Would be happy with other dogs. Can be reactive: on walks may react to sudden movements (wildlife, running dogs.) At home she's anxious of strangers, growls & tries to herd. We crate for safety when guests come over; she settles quickly. Getting better at dealing with doorbells and people at door and walking by.
Happy at daycare and boarding. More settled when with other dogs. Tri-pawed, she still walks 1-2 times daily & enjoys playing with toys in the house and in the yard.
Pancake will do best in a home with other dogs to learn from, experienced owners and older kids. We have fostered her into a wonderful pet from her feral beginnings. She is not the right fit for our family but is a lovely, healthy, happy dog.
