Dog Name: SadieLou
Breed: Mixed breed
Sex: Female
Age: About 4 years old
Weight: 40 pounds
Medical Needs: Sadie is suffering from allergies (who isn't nowadays?!) and is on Apoquel in the spring and fall.
Housebroken: Yes
Crate trained: She does great at night (when crated in the bedroom) but will occasionally complain some during the day
Good in the car: Ok
Good on a leash: Ok, as long as there are no critters around. She has a strong prey drive and will pull and bark if she sees rabbits, squirrels etc.
Energy level: Medium
Need a fenced in yard: No, but that hound nose might get her in trouble, if you don't keep her leashed.
Dog Friendly: She‘d do best with a calm dog that doesn’t mind her mouthing off at first
Does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No
Cat Friendly? Has lived with cats before but it‘ll depend on the cat
Kid Friendly: Yes
If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Any age.
Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them?
Sadie LOVES people, and will do anything to please you. She’s very submissive and ready to soak up your love. She’s constantly rolling over for belly rubs and will use her paw to get your attention. She wants to be the center of your world and will put on a pretty convincing show to stop you from whatever you're doing to bend down and pet her. Her ideal family will take her on long walks or runs (so she can get in all the sniffs) and will allow her to cuddle on the couch and maybe even toss some popcorn at her during movie night.
Sadie likes to bark when out in public (you might have heard her at one of our events ), but doesn‘t bark much at her foster home anymore. She loves a routine!
