My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Missy was adopted from us four years ago and was a loved member of a family, but her mom got very ill and was unable to care for her any longer. So, she is back with us and in the market for a new home! Missy is approx 9 years old now. She has long, lanky legs but only weighs 10lbs. When she initially came to us, she had no socialization and was very nervous. She will likely always be a little shy (especially with men), but she does bond with her family once she is comfortable. Even when Missy is the most scared, she has never been aggressive. She doesn't growl or even snarl, she just tries to hide. She is a sensitive soul and just needs someone to give her some time to adjust to show her true personality. Now, when her foster mom gets home, Missy runs over to greet her with a wagging tail. Missy was always really quiet and mellow with us. She isn't a big cuddler but she likes to be near you. She enjoys perching on the back of the couch and relaxing most of the day. She is happy to just hang out at home and is a really easy girl! She can be left alone for hours without any issues! Missy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. She just had bloodwork and a dental so she is good to go! She is also housebroken and crate trained. She isn't super excited about toys or food, but she loves her blankets! She also enjoys walks and does well in the car. Missy gets along with dogs and cats, but would be fine being the only pet. Due to her being nervous, we think a home with no children or hyper/large animals would be best. Additional adoption info

Go to our website to fill out an Adoption Application! We will review your app and, if your home is a good match for the pet, we well email you to set up a meeting with your family and current pets. If all goes well at the meeting, we offer a foster to adopt program where you can take home the pet you're interested in for up to two weeks to make sure he/she is a good fit for your home and is welcomed by your other current animals. We just ask that you leave the adoption fee as a deposit before taking your pet home. Any time within the two weeks, if you decide the pet is a perfect addition to your family, let us know and sign the Adoption Contract, we will hand over all vaccine paperwork, and the pet is yours! (If you decide the pet is not for you, the deposit will be returned in full)

Go meet their pets

Potential adopters must submit an application before setting up a private meeting with that specific animal. Once application is reviewed, we will email to make arrangements to set the date/time. We ask that the entire family and current pets are present. Meetings are held at the animals location or at your home. We also have adoption shows occasionally where you can come down and meet some of our adoptable pets. Please check our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/dominoeffectanimalrescue to find out when our next show will be!

More about this rescue

Domino Effect Animal Rescue is a 501c3 non profit, no kill animal rescue located in Temecula Valley, California dedicated to saving the lives of animals in county shelters. By taking in some of these homeless animals, we hope to ease the overcrowding in shelters which leads to euthanasia. We provide care and love to all animals that enter our rescue as they await their loving, forever homes. Each animal is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and examined by a licensed veterinarian. Some animals require more medical care than the basics and we help them heal so that they can live healthy lives with their next family. We also work on basic obedience and socialization skills to help each pet develop desired behaviors for their future family.
