Meet Chimmy! He is 4 years old and 55 lbs of ball fetching doggo!
Chimmy was adopted as a puppy and recently returned to us at 4 years old. After coming back to us, he had lost all his confidence and needed help. He's been consistently working with a trainer and he has made incredible improvement!
This rugged boy is house and kennel trained. He is also leash trained and enjoys going on walks. He has been so many places with his trainer, like parks and stores, getting lots of socialization and exposure to new environments, and has really come out of his shell! He can still be a little shy but he does well meeting new people and new dogs and his trainer is happy to show potential adopters what works best for Chimmy for training and new environments.
Chimmy gets along with most other dogs. He would thrive in a home with a more confident dog, who naturally feels comfortable and happy being around people and other dogs, but would also do well as an only dog. Like many dogs, he does do best eating in separate area from other dog friends. We're unsure how he may be with cats.
This guy LOVES fetch. He lives for it and would happily play with you until your arm or his legs give out. He enjoys being outside but also coming in and lounging around with his people. He is a happy, goofy boy who misses having a family of his own.
Chimmy would make a great addition to a dog-loving family that will give him the patience and time he needs to adjust to a new place and routine. His trainer is ready to show his forever family how to set themselves and Chimmy up for a successful transition from rescue dog to family member.

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) rescue whose mission is to help unwanted animals in situations that could lead to harm or euthanasia. We primarily focus on animals with major medical illnesses, injuries or advanced age that are often overlooked and usually the first to be at risk of euthanasia. By partnering with shelters and the public, we promote responsible pet ownership, spay and neuter, and the adoption of special needs pets. It is our goal to save the un-savable!
