I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Alfie is an adorable six-year-old mix who weighs about 40 lbs. We DNA tested him and he is mostly Poodle, Australian Shepherd, and American Bully. He has a wire coat but does shed. He's a very active, sweet, affectionate, and curious pup. He is good on a leash and loves going for walks and car rides. He adores his stuffed toys. Alfie loves other dogs but lacks some social skills, so he would do best as either an only dog or with a very patient doggy friend who enjoys rough-and-tumble play. A home with no kids or older kids would probably be best for him.
Alfie has been diagnosed with a condition called Diabetes insipidus (a condition that is very different from Diabetes mellitus), which causes him to feel very thirsty. The result was he was drinking a lot and, thus, peeing a lot. He was started on medication on 4/12 and it has helped so much! He will need to be on the medication for the rest of his life, but luckily, it isn't expensive. He is up to date on vaccinations and will be neutered before he is adopted.
If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application here: http://medfieldshelter.com/adopt. Our dog adoption fee is $350. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
