My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, I'm Ella. I've got a heart full of love and a purr that could soothe any soul. I'm the epitome of sweet, friendly, and gentle. I've got a knack for making humans feel special. I love to curl up in a cozy spot and share my warmth with you. I'm quite the listener too. Whether you've had a long day or just need a quiet companion, I'm here for you. I do prefer being the only pet in the household. I like all the attention, you see. Adopting me would mean a lifetime of unconditional love, soft purrs, and a loyal friend. I'm not just a cat, I'm Ella, your potential confidante and source of joy.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
