My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fish Sticks!

This goof ball is an exuberant ball of love! Fish Sticks arrived at the shelter as stray, but what a lucky find! He is lovely with his beautiful brown eyes, black and white coat, fun playful personality and would fit right into any family.

He can't get enough playtime with toys and he adores walks. He's confident, smart, and loves meeting new people! He LOVE treats and has the unbridled joy of catching food!

Fish Sticks needs a home with someone who can help him continue with obedience training and show him this big world to explore and how fun and amazing it is.

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Scott County (HSSC) has been an advocate for the humane care of all animals in Scott County, Iowa, since 1902.

An average of 500 pets arrive at the HSSC each month. About 80% come to us as strays and the rest are surrendered by owners who can no longer keep or care for their pets.

The HSSC is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization funded entirely by donations, adoption fees and a fee charged to the city and county for the care of the animals.
