Meet Brody! Five-year-old Brody has had a rough go of things lately. He came to Chi Town Rescue when his former owner's living situation changed, and they were no longer able to keep their dogs. Brody has had a bit of a difficult time adjusting to all these changes, but he is slowly warming up to his new friends here at rescue. Brody will initially bark at you, but if you get down on his level and let him come to you, he will eventually crawl into your lap for pets. Brody enjoys lap time so much that he doesn't always like to share; if he is in a lap, he can get possessive when other dogs or people walk by. Brody's new home should understand how to work with these behaviors, and have no small children in the home. Brody walks well on leash and knows "sit" for a treat. Because he walks so well on the leash, he sees no need for you to pick him up, thanks very much. Brody prefers to come to you, rather than you picking him up and getting in his space. Brody's former owner reports that he was potty trained and previously lived in an apartment. Brody gets along with some other small dogs he's met here at rescue, but he can be selective. Larger dogs make him nervous at first, and he will bark, but adjusts, so long as the other dog gives him space. Brody really needs a new home environment to help him fully come out of his shell. He would love to be the center of your world and get lots of love and lap time. Email us at chitownrescue@gmail.com for more info/meet and greet appointment with Brody! Brody's adoption fee includes vaccines up to date and microchip. He is previously neutered.
