Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This two year young beauty is ready to find her forever home. Lainey is a typical Husky and will do best with a family prepared for those young Husky antics. She loves people and makes friends wherever she goes. She gets along well with other dogs of similar size and energy level. No small dogs, cats, or critters though, please! Lainey likes to be the center of attention so she’ll do best in a home where her canine siblings will let her be in charge. At times she can be possessive of toys so supervision will be required. Huskies are known to be escape artists and Lainey is no exception. We’ll be looking for a very secure six foot fence that will keep her home safe where she belongs. She will quickly use toys or outdoor furniture to hop over the fence if left unsupervised and will dig under or climb over a fence to go on an adventure. Her family will need to be vigilant and willing to take precautions to keep her home safe!
Lainey loves her bed and will happily settle in for a nap if she’s with her people. She’s still working on her crate skills but has made great progress. We highly recommend continuing with that to keep her safe and out of trouble inside your home. Lainey will waste no time to explore and swipe your treasures. Foster Dad’s wallet was amusing! Despite her young Husky mischievousness she takes correction well and is learning how to be a good girl. With positive reinforcement and patience, she will continue to make progress.
Lainey has a lovely Siberian voice and loves to sing so your neighbors will need to have an appreciation for her music. An attached home or apartment might not be ideal.
Lainey is microchipped, spayed, and fully vetted with current vaccinations. She is so much fun and has a bright future in front of her. She will make a wonderful addition to the right family.
WE PROVIDE ADOPTIONS TO THOSE WITHIN A 100 MILE RADIUS OF OUR WEST CHESTER, PA OFFICE. IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE OF THAT AREA PLEASE CONTACT A SHELTER OR RESCUE GROUP IN YOUR AREA. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, microchipped, vaccinated, and evaluated in a private home. YOU WILL FIND DETAILS REGARDING OUR ADOPTION POLICY, PROCESS, FEE, AND APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE (arcticspiritrescue.org). PLEASE BE SURE YOU MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS WE HAVE LISTED FOR EACH PARTICULAR DOG BEFORE APPLYING. No exceptions are made regarding the dog's requirements and we take our time to find the perfect home. No dogs are shown without an approved application. We do not have a kennel facility. All of our dogs are fostered and evaluated in experienced private homes.
