My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sebastian is adorable, loving, and full of energy. He loves his sister Ariel and the two of them are a package deal. Sebastian is 8 years old and weighs about 7 pounds. He is a sensitive, gentle boy who loves to be pet and kissed by his human. Snuggling with Ariel is his favorite. She is his sense of comfort. Sebastian is good with other dogs, cats, and kids. He is house and crate trained. He loves to sit on or next to his foster mom, or wherever Ariel is. At night he sleeps under the covers, snuggled up to his foster mom.

Dogs are not placed on a first-come first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal, applications may take up to 48 hours to complete.

All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Sebastian and Ariel's adoption fee is $325. If you are interested in adopting Sebastian and Ariel, or another CAWS animal, please fill out an application here: http://caws.org/adoption-application. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationJuly 1, 2024, 8:23 am

Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
