The 14 week old Fashion Litter is turning heads at Milan's runway shows (er, the garden show at their foster home).

We first met the Fashion mama at the shelter when her puppies were just five days old. With overcrowding and understaffing, the situation in there was dire; with very little attention, any number of them would've perished. We couldn't let that happen so, we took their fate into our hands and whisked mom and these precious little souls to a foster home where they could be safe and thrive. The pups' mom did a great job raising this joyful bunch, instilling them with good manners and a super-friendly nature. Now it's time for the Fashion stars to find their forever homes.

From the foster family:

These gorgeous Fashion pups are an absolute joy! They arrived as newbies and have grown into such wonderful dogs who will make loving companions in their forever homes. They've been well socialized and exposed to everyday life. Family and friends, young kiddos, softball teammates, teachers, our contractors, gardeners, etc. are always delighted to see them. Super-duper friendly, these pups have brightened the day of college students studying for exams and visited companies to give "puppy love." These playful little ones are destined to become icons, just like their namesakes.

Their mom is a 40-lb brindle. Don't know the dad(s). These mixed-breed pups will probably be larger than mom when fully grown, and 100% awesome! They will enjoy daily walks/runs and outings. They are a bright bunch and should make for fun training partners. They ride well in the car. They're playful with other dogs and have done fine around cats. Long legs.

The pups sleep together through the night and wake up very happy and ready to play. We head outside in the yard about 7am, before having breakfast. After breakfast, a good nap is due from all the activity. Put the day on repeat with more outdoor playtime and meals. Lights out by 8:30pm.

Gucci (F) Endearingly called Gucci-la (no idea how that started :), is always in the mix. With her head-turning good looks of white fur and unique black spots, she zips around the lawn, checks in on what everyone’s up to, and enjoys the rotation of toys. So far, there isn’t a standout favorite - Gucci’s an equal-opportunity toy aficionado. She greets you with tail wags and kisses - her tail wags all day long. Seriously, if you want to wake-up and be showered with love, this gal will fill your cup every time. Happy!

Hermes (F) is a curious, mature, soft-natured gal. Excited for whatever’s in store that day, she’s a wonderful combination of warmth and playfulness. First one to learn how to go in/out via the doggie door, she's spent a lot of bonus time with the foster family and become foster mom's buddy. When relaxing, it's in a king-tut-like pose, and she adds her own head tilt. Hermes comes with her own socks (her front legs have white fur :), and a white-tipped tail. Magnetic personality!

Valentino (M) This dapper fella' can be found solo or in the mix and enjoys all the puppy playtime. He will explore on his own or roll in the grass with his siblings. He showed off his doggy paddle when he plopped in the pool one day. His wrinkly face gives him an endearing wise old-man look. Valentino's an optimist, as he continues to try and engage our "I-don't-play-with-other-dogs" small senior dog, convinced they will be buds one day. He's got his own wide white fur collar, making all the snow bunnies jealous. Snuggly!

Check-out the last photo on Valentino's profile - it's a video of all the pups enjoying playtime in the yard.

We have really enjoyed these lovebugs. When our kids come home from school, they always head straight for the front steps to have loads of snuggles and playtime. Our family will miss having these precious souls around and know their forever homes will have added a gift.

A Fashion puppy would enjoy being a playful companion to your friendly dog or could be solo in a home where love and attention is doted on them. Adopters should have had a dog in the last five years. Kids in the home should be over the age of 6.

When you adopt from DPS Rescue, you get a foster write-up from people who have lived with and cared for the dog you're adding to your family. We get to know their personalities, and can provide you with their routines, habits and insights into their nature. You'll start off on the right foot (er, paw) from day one! You're helping clear the shelters because DPS pulls great dogs from overcrowded shelters and gives them time to decompress at home and let their personalities shine through. We socialize, vaccinate, spay/neuter, feed and care for our foster dogs all along the way of getting to know them so that you can read in-depth profiles and make an informed decision. It's a lot of hard work - but worth it! Thanks for adopting from DPS and supporting the efforts of dogs finding their forever homes.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not.
