My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Introducing Gus, the shy but adorable sweet chihuahua mix! Gus may have found himself out of time at the shelter, but his shyness didn't stop us at OURS from recognizing his potential. We have a special place in our hearts for underdogs like Gus, and we couldn't resist scooping him up.

Gus may not come running right up to you at first, but that's because he's observing and deciding if he can trust you enough to let you into his circle of trusted friends. Once you've earned his trust, though, he is an absolute love. He may be a bit awkward with affection, but he's eager to learn how to accept it and soak it up.

Loyalty runs deep in Gus's veins, and he will be the most dedicated friend you could ever ask for. He gets along well with other dogs and is easy to please. Gus may be a diamond in the rough, but he is well worth any effort it takes to make him your loyal sidekick.

If you're ready to open your heart and home to a shy but incredibly sweet companion, Gus is waiting to be your perfect match. Apply here to come meet him and discover the joy of having a loyal and loving friend by your side.

Additional adoption info

We do our best to get back to every potential applicant but at times we are only able to get back to the strongest applicant. We are a team of volunteers who work full time jobs and do rescue on the side.

Go meet their pets

Most of our fosters are in the San Bernardino area. Our pups are fostered in private homes so appointments must be set up prior to visiting.

More about this rescue

We are a group of friends with a heart and passion for animals, especially dogs. We are drawn to the ones with the sad stories so that we can rewrite their stories and make them happy.
Each of our dogs will be fully vetted (spay/neuter), vaccines and microchip.
An in person home check is required.
