My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

50% OFF the adoption fee for ADULT DOGS through Nov 3rd.
Hank was rescued in a cruelty case and is a bit timid when meeting new people. As he warms up, his true personality shines! This guy is fun, playful and super affectionate. He LOVES to play with other dogs, and they help him feel more confident. Hank would do best in a home with a canine sibling. He's very smart and loves learning new tricks. Hank is fine around cats but is scared around the unpredictable nature of young children. Hank will thrive in a calm home with another dog as his best friend and with people who will love him and give him the patience he needs to come out of his shell. Hank is the sweetest and absolutely worth the time it will take for him to begin to trust and feel safe. He has thrived in his foster home and is ready for his forever family!

Go meet their pets

Our pets are currently in foster homes as well as we have a program with the local women's prison. With the prison the animals live in the room with the inmate handler and receive socialization and training. We have just recently added dogs to our program with the prison. Generally the pets are brought to our office for their meet and greets and adoptions. We also partner with Ziggy's Cat Lounge in Bremerton for our cats and kittens.

More about this rescue

We are a small but mighty Humane Society serving an underserved county with adoption, spay and neuter, wellness, stray recovery, and other animal related services. Currently we are all foster as we don't have a shelter yet, but we have a 5 acre parcel we are going to build a shelter on. We have started the planning process with Shelter Planners of America.
