My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gabby recently came to ARC with two other kitties because her guardian was moving. The adjustment for Gabby was not easy in the beginning.  The first few days she spent her time in the interior part of her house. Just recently she has been coming out on the screened area and is welcoming gentle petting from staff, volunteers, and even strangers. Come meet Gaby. Spend a little time getting to know her. See what a great, loving addition she will make to almost any home.

Gabby is 5 years old.

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
