My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Haylee!

Haylee came all the way from Houston, BC to find a place to call home! Haylee is very timid and is bonded with her friend Hilary May and will need to be adopted together. Her foster says her and Hilary play a lot! She'll do best in a quiet home that can give her the time and space to grow her confidence and to feel safe. She's been around other cats her whole life, so she could do well in a home with other cats. She's a sweet girl that has had a big journey! Apply online today to come meet this lady!

Here is a little update from their foster home:

"Hilary has really blossomed and has really come out of her shell. She is tiny, dainty and is developing a calm personality. She follows me around and when I turn around or come in the door, she is waiting calmly
looking up at me. She likes attention and to be gently petted and will roll around on the floor by your feet. She's a real joy to have around.

Haylee is still quite shy & hesitant but has made great progress in the last couple of weeks. She's starting to follow me around and she sleeps in my spot on the sofa. She looks to Hilary for guidance & comfort. She is curious and has lots of energy.

They loving playing with their toys and ping pong balls and chasing each other around the house ... and they love wrestling.
They are turning into quite the characters and are fun to watch"

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:
