This helps Hank's Legacy Foundation with pet care costs.
Hi there, I'm Charolette! I was adopted as a puppy and returned at 3 years old due to my struggle to share my things with the other dog in my home. Now that I am back in rescue, I know what my ideal forever home would look like. Im a really laid back girl, but I can be a bit shy when meeting new people. I like to play and go on walks, but I really just want to be with my person. Im really smart, and learnign new things is a great way to bond with me! My last family had me go to school for 4 weeks where I learned all sorts of manners. I walk on a leash great and love to sleep in my crate. My crate is my safe space, I eat my food in there and keep my favorite toy of the day close by. I need a family willing to keep my little house mine, and respect my space when I am in there. Im not a mean girl, and I have never shown any issues towards humans. I do bark when meeting people, and sometimes I bark a little louder when men I dont know come around, but thats all.
Even though I can't live with other dogs, I do enjoy playing with them! I have not been around little dogs, and I don't think thats something I would enjoy, so I stick with dogs my size and bigger. Also, cats are fun to chase, but im told thats not very polite, so I should probably NOT live with one of those. Im great with kids, but due to my resource guarding, its best I live with kids older than 10 to ensure everyone respects eachother.
Do you have another mellow dog? Do you want a single dog? I promise im such a good girl, and I will love you forever. I just need a little patience and time.
Thank you for wanting to adopt from Hank's Legacy Foundation. See a pet that you want to adopt or foster? Please start by filling out the foster or adoption application on our website. Applications are required to be filled out before meeting a pet.
