My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the adoption application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org***

You would be hard pressed to find a nicer, neater, sweeter cat than big ol Mace!  Rescued in a neighboring town, his good Samaritan knew he needed some medical attention so he was brought into the shelter.  Some antibiotics and good snacks was all he needed to heal up and show us that he wasn't meant for the streets in the first place so this big guy got to stay!  Now he's looking for a forever home that will never lead him to have to fend for himself in the out of doors all alone.  Mace is a sturdy cat with medium length fur that will require some occasional brushing to help keep him looking dapper.  We estimate he was likely born in 2017.  He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative and microchipped. As always our cat/kitten adoptions are free will to approved applicants.

Go meet their pets

Check out all of our pets online at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org or send in an application to meet a specific pet! Once our shelter is open for operation stop in during our open hours to visit with a fuzzy friend in person.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
