My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***The first step in the adoption process is to go to our website at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org to complete the Adoption Application***

Jasmine is a very shy & skittish, but not mean kitty, who loves lounging in her hiding boxes, away from the commotion with all the other kitties in her room. She needs a very quiet home, with people who would understand that she may never be a lap cat or a lovey buddy cat, asking for pets all the time, she'd likely be your friend that you know is there but not always in sight, which is ok, sometimes all you need is to know that someone is there with you. Update as of April 2024....Jasmine has been feeling safe and comfortable enough now to ask for pets!  It's a pretty special thing when a timid cat finally thinks humans might not be so bad!  She will sit on a wall box and chirp at you to reach up and rub her ears and pat her head.   Jasmine is spayed & current on vaccines. As always, all cat & kitten adoption fees are a free will donation for approved applicants.

Go meet their pets

Check out all of our pets online at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org or send in an application to meet a specific pet! Once our shelter is open for operation stop in during our open hours to visit with a fuzzy friend in person.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
