Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Keisha – 37 lbs, 3 year old Shepherd cross is looking for a home. Keisha is a super sweet and smart girl, and sweetheart to the volunteers who visit her at the SPCA PV sanctuary. Keisha was found in the hills around Puerto Vallarta tied up, hungry, trying to care for and protect her 6 young pups. After her rescue the SPCA PV learned that Keisha is blind from being poisoned. Despite this tough early life, Keisha is very sweet and friendly with humans and dogs (she is even ok being carried). On her walks she doesn't pull and likes to sniff a lot (her nose is her eyes).
Keisha is spayed, vaccinated, healthy, and now has a full belly every day, which makes her very happy. She'd love to make up for a tough early start with a warm loving home. If interested, please email pvcaadoptions@gmail.com and tell us a little about yourself.

We screen all applications and in most cases require a home check prior to placement. An approved adoption application must be on file before meetings are set up, as our dogs are in foster homes. We charge a $550 USD adoption fee. We routinely follow up with a visit or at least a phone call after placement. We solicit follow up photos and publish adoptions in our weekly newsletter.

More about this rescue
PVCA Animal Rescue is the sister organization of the SPCA Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. We facilitate the transportation and adoption of rescue dogs into loving forever homes. PVCA is a network of volunteers, transporters, and foster homes. The mission of SPCA de PV is to help fund and promote sterilization, adoption and healthcare efforts for companion animals in the Puerto Vallarta area, with the goal of eliminating the euthanasia of healthy and adoptable animals. SPCA de PV is not supported by the government, corporations, foundations or businesses. The dogs & cats of Mexico are too often found living on the streets after being discarded and/or extremely abused. We devote ourselves to their physical and emotional rehabilitation and invite everyone to come and interact with the animals at our sanctuary. Compassion Knows No Boundaries!
