My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Breed: Shepherd X
DOB: 1/2021
Gender: female
Altered: yes
Coat:medium
Size: large
Color(s): black
Description:
Hi, I'm Luna 7, a beautiful Shepherd X in need of a new home as I'm not good around farm animals. I was adopted from VCAS, but the person who adopted me didn't want to take me back there. Thankfully CARL has accepted me into their program and will help me find my forever home.

I hope you have a strong arm as I love to chase balls and can do it for hours. I'm playful and energetic when I trust you. I walk well on a leash and look to my person to lead me. I am more play driven than treat motivated. I have done well in playgroups at the kennel and have not shown any aggression towards other dogs.

In my last home I did well with large dogs, my best friend was the Pit Bull in the home. I've loved every (adult human) stranger I've met. It's unknown how I'd do with children, but I'd probably do best in a home with older children. I'll need someone who understands the needs of a high-energy dog breed. I'm not good around small animals as I have a high prey drive. I prefer to be with my human and don't enjoy being left alone. I do ok in a crate for 1 - 2 hours only. If I'm left in the backyard I'll try to dig under the fence.

If you think you can give me the love and environment I need to thrive in, please fill out an online application to meet me. Be sure to put Luna 7 on your application.

More about this rescue

Canine Adoption and Rescue League is a 501(c)(3) Private Non-Profit No-Kill Organization. We rely on donations and do not receive government, state, or city funding. We operate almost entirely by volunteers.

Since 1996, Canine Adoption and Rescue League has rescued and placed thousands of unwanted, sick, abandoned, and homeless dogs. Dogs in our adoption program are placed in pre-screened, loving and secure homes. We make a lifetime commitment to all of our dogs.

Canine Adoption and Rescue League receives hundreds of calls from people who must find a home for a stray, a litter of puppies or even a family pet.

Canine Adoption and Rescue League's mission is to advocate for animal welfare, seeking to end the needless deaths of companion animals through our adoption, education, and outreach programs.
