My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Affectionate, Talkative, Charming

Meet Thunderbolt!

Check out those fantastic wizard whiskers! His whiskers, gray and white coloring, and slightly disheveled but very soft coat make him look like a wizard in feline form. His fosters think he's a very handsome boy too.

This sweet old man cat loves scritches and attention of any kind. He waits for his foster humans at the door, immediately starts talking up a storm when he sees them, and hops up to get pets. He's pretty active for a kitty his age, and he has a lot to say about almost everything. He's an animated and attentive conversationalist.

He's quite a foodie, too, and will enthusiastically gobble up his meals. This is especially great because it's super easy to give him medication in his food! He is currently being treated for pillow foot, or plasma cell pododermatitis, a rare condition in which the immune system attacks the paw pads. This causes his paws to become inflamed and sometimes bleed. In addition to his daily meds, his fosters clean his paws with medicated wipes. While he has been APA's care, his condition has improved so now only one paw is still affected. He currently cannot use typical cat litter and instead uses pee pads or even a towel, which works just fine! He came to APA in rough shape with matted fur, but fortunately he enjoys being brushed!

Thunderbolt would love to find a home where he can be loved and relax during his golden years. He would enjoy having space to roam and explore, soft spots to nap on, and lots of human interaction. He is such as sweet and personable kitty who wants to tell you all about his day and be near you, and his purr motor revs when he's brushed or petted. His foster can verify that the top of his head is very smoochable too and that his purr intensifies when his head is kissed.

If you'd like to have a distinguished wizard gentleman in cat form in your house, reach out today so you can meet him!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
