My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet, Affectionate, Food-Motivated

Need a new home office assistant? Dwight Schrute is your guy! He's up for any job, especially if it involves giving head boops and greeting everyone he sees with sweet meows.

Dwight is a super friendly guy who loves being around people. He loves laying on you and following you around and will snuggle up against you any chance he gets. It's actually incredible how loving and trusting he is of people despite what he has experienced in his past.

Dwight came to APA! via AAC after being brought there with wounds on his shoulder and leg. He was tragically a victim of human violence and has a bullet lodged in his spine. Despite the absolutely terrible treatment from humans he has experienced, Dwight has shown that he has learned to love people again and deserves to find the most loving home where he will be spoiled with attention!

Because of Dwight's past injuries, he is incontinent with hindlimb paralysis and requires some extra medical care. He needs his human to press gently on his bladder twice a day to "express" it and help him go pee. It is super easy once you get the hang of it, and APA! will show you how! He doesn't need any help to poop; he will just leave little poop nuggets on the floor which are easy to clean up a few times a day. For more information, please contact APA!

Dwight has been living with other cats in a group room at APA!, so he can peacefully coexist with other kitties, although he doesn't play or snuggle with them much. He also would rather not have any other kitties try to roughhouse with him. He much prefers the company of humans! Dwight is pretty easygoing and only meows when he's asking for food or greeting people (which he loves to do)!

The perfect forever home for Dwight is one with people who have no problem helping him out with his incontinence needs and will give him all the love and attention he deserves! Dwight has been through a lot, but nothing would make him happier than to find his forever home where he can hang out with you throughout the day and curl up next to you for pets and snuggles. Oh, and lots of treats and snacks too!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
